CanisWear is a brand recognized for it's quality, comfort and durability. All our their products have been designed for an active dog's everyday life.. And being a Wildlife Wrangeler girl my life is very active!
We were super excited to be able to chat with Patricia and find out more about this awesome Canadian company,cause I always seem to find an adventure..(or adventure always seems to find me) when I am wearing my Canis Wear !

Can you tell us a bit about CanisWear (how / why the company was founded)
I started Caniswear 5 years ago when I adopted a little but very active yorkie named Charlie. The first winter, I realized that he was cold & needed a extra coat because we would walk for at least a hour every day. Unfortunately. I could not find clothes that would meet my expectations. I wanted something comfortable for my dog & practical for me. Caniswear clothing are comfortable because they are made of stretch fabric & practical because they are water-resistant & stain-proof. Of course, I added some "design" into all that because of my 7 years of background as a fashion designer.

Company Culture ( company pets, community work, etc.)
Our mission is to enhance & to enrich the relationship between dogs & human. We always participate in fund raising events made by rescues. We will donate clothing & collars. Also, we always like to help individuals. Once, this women contacted us because her dog suffered from allergies & the only way she was able to help him was with custom made t-shirts. Another time, a blind men contacted us so we made a custom winter coat to fit his harness. Helping is good for the heart.

What are some of the Challenges working in the Pet Fashion Industry .
Our main challenge is to be able to offer the best products at the best prices. We are proud to keep all our production in Canada & to source our raw materials in North America but this makes it very hard for us to compete with other manufacturers that produce overseas. We refuse to cut on the quality so we have to be very innovative to find solutions.

Can you share with us some of the Future Product Plans for CanisWear .
We are presently working on a project that will help even more to keep & cherish the strong bond between dogs & humans but we can not say more. ;-)

CanisWear has some of the BEST jackets and collars on the market..can you share with us some of the inspirations behind the products.
The first inspirations is me & my best furry friend. I also have a lot of dog lovers in my entourage so I talk a lot with them, what they like to do with their dog, what they would need to help them enjoy it even more. As a example, we love to walk every day, but during winter, his paws would get frozen & he could not walk anymore. I purchased some dog winter boots already available on the market but he would keep on loosing them. I decided to design winter boots. I made several prototypes & tested them 3 years in a row with different dogs before I was satisfied of the product & decided to put it on the market.

This is a very good question & I have to admit that I'm more of a Benji person ;-)

If you could have one and ONLY one Superpower what would it be?
Being able to make everybody I touch "SUPER HAPPY"! For them to enjoy life to the fullest.
