Now thats something worth barking about !! BOL!!.

We had a chance to chat with Remy and get the scoop on everything Snub.
Q.Tell us a bit about Snub.
Snub is a lifestyle dog brand created to give modern dog guardians pet products that reflect their cultured sensibility and heightened style. The impetus for our first collection of modern dog beds happened after a fruitless search for a bed for my Frenchie, Farrah. I wanted to find her something chic and cozy with a touch of originality, but instead I found drab options and beds with bows or paws. When did brown become the go-to color in dog beds?! So, with my background in marketing and design, I created Snub to bring city-flavored style to the pet world.

Q.How is Snub different for other pet beds ?
Snub's bed collection is a true mix of function, fashion and charity.
To develop the structure, we studied the positions small dogs take while sleeping which guided the decisions of the height of the frame, washable fabric choices, amount of cotton stuffing and overall shape and size of the bed.
For the style, we've looked to top fashion and interior designers for the latest trends in colors and patterns. We don't subscribe to a dog bed having to look like the dog designed it.
We also give 5% of net profits to local San Francisco and national animal shelters to support those that give us so much.

Q.When does a new collection come out ? Are the collections "Limited Editions."
The current collection is in our signature pattern. So, this design will continue as our Original Collection. We are in the works on a new collection, which will be a limited edition design for the fall.

Q.What inspires your designs?
I look to fashion and interior design, two of my loves. I drool over the latest collections from Missoni, Paul Smith and interior designers like Kelly Wearstler. They use color and pattern to create effortless style with just enough quirk to be original. I believe the pet accessories industry puts too much focus on "cute" pet designs vs. modern dog guardians style tastes.

Q.What's your favorite part about conceptualizing a design?
Creating a moodbook of everything you gravitate towards. The initial freestyle thinking is invigorating and inspiring, you twist your mind sideways to think of new ways to make an impression and challenge the standards in an industry. We've only just begun yet we believe we will forever change the aesthetics of the urban dog life.

Q.Where do you get your inspiration?
I feel most inspired when I'm with others that have the same motivation, passion and sense of individuality that I need to succeed. Whether that is at the dog park where guardians have permagrins, at a coffee shop where other entrepreneurs are typing away at their next creation or on the other side of the world watching a surfer ride the waves on Copacabana beach. Inspiration is infectious.

Q.Favorite Color?
We have four colors in our current collection - Fiery Bitch (deep pink), Military Brat (green), Silver Spoon (gray), and Ice, Ice, Baby (light blue). We put together this palette based on the latest colors coming down the runways and color theory projections. My favorite color of this collection is Ice, Ice, Baby, the contrast of the color with the black gives a fabulous pop of color to any interior.

Q.Benji or Lassie ?
Lassie - I love when dogs are portrayed as intelligent, contributing beings compared to some of the blogs today that demean their existence into being very primitive.

Q.If you could have one and ONLY one Superpower, what would it be?
Superhuman senses. I'd love to see, smell, feel and hear better than the average person. There may be moments of sensory overload, but it would be so worth it to experience life in such a heightened way.

Q. Were can our readers purchase some Snub beds.
We will be in several retail venues in the coming months, but the easiest way to get your hands on a Snub dog bed is at www.snubnosed.com
